J.F. REY Eyewear Designs is an independently owned, French eyewear company. Launched in 1995 by J.F. Rey and his wife and business partner, Joelle Rey. Based in Marseille, this dynamic creative duo continues to dominate the world of eyewear design. At the heart of it all, a driving passion to create eyewear that is the perfect accessory to express someone’s style and creativity – to reveal the true personality of the wearer.

J.F. Rey was born into the eyewear world. His grandparents and parents were frame makers in the Jura region of France. He designed his first eyewear collection for his father’s business at age 16. Although he attended school for International Law, the love for eyewear design prevailed.

Joelle Rey is the company’s Art Director. She quickly discovered her personal style, and the art of blending acetate and colors with style and grace. The color nuances, her bold creative risk taking, and her always-on-point combination of themes and materials run deep within the J.F. REY brand’s DNA.
